Steve Jean discovered Cindalera Sanyu through Coca-Cola's Real Stars talent search, in which Sanyu and Kefa Mwesigwa were among the leading contenders. Following that, Jean formed Blu3, a trio of female vocalists made up of Jackie Chandiru, Lilian Mbabazi, and Sanyu.
