The 2024 edition of the renowned Zzina Awards, typically a celebration of musical talent and cultural vibrancy, took a dramatic turn on Thursday night as tensions flared between two prominent camps in the music scene. Alien Skin and Fik Gaza's camps found themselves embroiled in an altercation that disrupted the event's festivities hence forcing police intervention.

For a couple of months, two music camps; Fangone Forest headed by Alien Skin and Gaza Empire have been at loggerheads due to their musical and ideological differences
On Thursday, the two camps crossed paths during Galaxy FM’s Zzina Awards which were held at the International University of East Africa Auditorium.


With each camp boasting more than 30 members, they got into a physical altercation midway through Fik Gaza’s performance.


Police intervention was necessary to separate the two camps, prompting a near-hour-long pause in the awards show until tranquility could be reinstated.


Amid the chaos, several attendees, including media personalities, singers, and other celebrities, were observed fleeing the venue. In the aftermath, various entertainment critics have voiced concerns about the escalating chaos that has recently enveloped the music industry.
