Kitara Football Club Welcomes Wasswa Bbosa as New Head Coach

After his time at Mbarara City ended at the end of the 2023–2024 season, Bbosa lands at Kitara Football Club after a brief period of unemployed. Hassan "Figo" Mubiru, a former striker for the Uganda Cranes and regarded as one of the best attackers to have ever played for the national team, is among the seasoned backroom staff he takes with him.

Kitara Football Club Welcomes Wasswa Bbosa as New Head Coach

Only twenty-four hours after Ssenyondo's departure was announced, the club formally confirmed Bbosa as the new club head coach.
“We are delighted to announce Wasswa Bbosa as the new head coach. He (Bbosa) takes over for the remainder of the season replacing Brian Ssenyondo who was relieved of his duties.” the club announced on Monday, 28th October 2024 via their official website.

Ayub Balyejusa, the fitness trainer, Aloysious Makubuya, the team doctor, Alex Mugisha, who will provide statistical support, and Richard Kansole, the goalkeeping coach, are joining them. Bbosa has an extensive track record of accomplishment, having led teams to victory with Express Football Club in the CECAFA Kagame Cup and the Uganda Premier League.
Throughout his remarkable coaching career, Bbosa has worked with a number of prestigious teams, including Gaddafi, Sports Club Villa, Tooro United, and most recently, Mbarara City. 

His varied background playing for several league teams has given him insightful knowledge and useful tactics that he applies to Kitara Football Club. He was also the head coach of the Uganda U-23 national team, also referred to as the Kobs, where he nurtured new players and furthered his coaching career. Bbosa's broad experience makes him a capable leader who can steer Kitara in the right direction.
