“A total of 13768 candidates sat for end of programme assessment exams, 8002 were female and 5766 were male. The exams were conducted in 262 examination centres across the country,” he said.
UBTEB is mandated to streamline, regulate and coordinate examinations and awards in the Business and Technical profession in Uganda by Statutory Instrument No. 9 of 2009.

UBTEB has been in existence for a period of about 10 years and has a remarkable record of successful conduct of quality and credible national examinations and awards, having been created in response to addressing the need for standardised awards in the BTVET sub sector and other specialised professions to produce competent and skilled graduates who are globally competitive.
