The MK Movement to Launch Its Own TV and Radio Station

Following Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba reiterated that he will be joining the presidential race in 2026.has announced its plans to enter the broadcasting industry with the launch of its own TV and radio station.

 General Kainerugaba, the leader of the movement, revealed the news on his official Twitter account early this week, sparking a wave of excitement and speculation among his followers.

Lt. Colonel Chris Magezi also appointed General Manager of MK TV and Radio.

“I'm confident he will do an excellent job.” Gen.Muhoozi said.

Lt. Col. Magezi, who is the director of Information at the UPDF Land Forces, quoted the tweet announcing his appointment and said: "I am profoundly honoured by the appointment General, and the trust and confidence you have in me. I will give my very best, always."

Lt. Col. Chris Magezi was promoted in 2022 by President Yoweri Museveni to his current rank .

Magezi, who is also the director of information in the office of Senior Presidential Advisor on Special Operations, had concluded the Advanced Command and Staff Course, and MA Defence Studies program at the UK’s Joint Services Command and Staff College (JSCSC).

He is also among the Board of Directors of Uganda Broadcasting Corporation (UBC), following his appointment in 2019.

 With its new media venture, the movement aims to further amplify its message and reach a wider audience across the country.
