AstraZeneca Admits in Court: Its Covid-19 Vaccine Can Cause Blood Clots

Recently, AstraZeneca faced a pivotal moment in court, as it acknowledged that its Covid-19 vaccine could potentially lead to blood clots.

Lawyers have filed a class action lawsuit against the multinational pharmaceutical company, claiming that its vaccine—which was created in partnership with the University of Oxford—has caused fatalities and serious injuries on multiple occasions, and that a vaccine side effect has had disastrous consequences for a small number of families.

Jamie Scott, a father of two, filed the first complaint last year. Following his vaccination in April 2021, he had a blood clot and a cerebral hemorrhage, which left him with a severe brain impairment. He has been unable to work as a result. Three times while he was in the hospital, his wife received calls from the medical personnel alerting her to the bad news that her husband might not survive.

During the pandemic, the Covid-19 vaccine became a major source of concern, especially since international regulations required it for travel and other necessary activities.

Governments across the globe hurriedly enacted fresh health regulations mandating adult vaccination programs as the pharmaceutical industry threw caution to the wind with its attacks.

Numerous people protested the regulations. In Uganda, for example, journalist turned politician Joseph Kabuleta said that the imposition of required vaccinations violated people's human rights.
Kabuleta, the president of the National Economic Empowerment Dialogue party, variously warned citizens against taking the jab without first learning of its side effects.
