Minister Balaam Seeks Contact for Recorded Kid Smoker, Promises Education and Rehabilitation Support

As a viral video of a young boy smoking spreads, the State Minister for Gender, Labour, and Social Development in charge of children and youth affairs Balaam Barugahara Atenyi steps in with a promise of education and rehabilitation. Urgently seeking contact, he embodies compassion and community responsibility.

Recently, a troubling video showing a young boy smoking went viral on social media, casting doubt on youthful innocence and raising questions about the health of Uganda's youth. Mr. Balaam was forced to act after the video went viral and and prompted Mr Balaam to take action.

In a move that reflects his commitment to the well-being of Uganda's youth, Balaam issued a public request for assistance in locating the young boy seen in the video. With a genuine desire to provide support and guidance, Balaam aims to rehabilitate the boy and facilitate his return to school, where he rightfully belongs.
"This is a call to action," Balaam expressed on his social media platform. "Anyone with information about the whereabouts of this young boy from Zombo, Nebi, or Pakwach districts, please come forward. Together, we can make a difference in his life."
