Bobi Wine Withdraws UHRC Case against Government over His Blocked Music Shows
Bobi Wine denounces as unfair the commission's and security agencies' alleged obstruction of more than 20 of his planned music concerts, their seizure of musical instruments, and denial of many people's ability to support themselves financially as a result of their political beliefs.
Ugandan opposition leader Robert Kyagulanyi Allais Bobi Wine has withdrawn his legal case, citing serious concerns about the impartiality and independence of Judge Mariam Wangadya. Appearing alongside his legal team, Wine accused Wangadya of bias, asserting that she lacks the necessary impartiality to fairly adjudicate his case. This development marks a significant turn in Wine's ongoing struggle against what he describes as a deeply flawed judicial system.

He explained that he filed the case over five years ago on December 17, 2018, and has not yet had the opportunity for a hearing. He later expressed his disappointment on social media.
"This morning we appeared before the INCOMPETENT and BIASED Uganda Human Rights Commission regarding a case we filed in 2018. Today was the first time I was being invited for a hearing. I have therefore withdrawn it for the reasons stated in this statement!"- He posted.
