Kafulu Wo’bwongo: Nakimuli Kezia Emerges 1st Runner-Up, Securing 500,000/= Cash in Mukono District Trail

Kafulu Wo’bwongo: Nakimuli Kezia Emerges 1st Runner-Up, Securing 500,000/= Cash in Mukono District Trail

The quiz event, led by Mr. Dalton Matovu under the name Kafulu Wo’bwongo, saw Nakimuli Kezia winning 500,000/= cash as the champion of the first-ever edition. It happened over the weekend in Mukono District.


The quiz event, hosted by Daltex Media, featuring Kafulu Wo’bwongo, unfolded on May 5th, 2024, at Daira Hotel Mukono 


Among other winner included Kabunga Tonny Eddy second runner also won 150,000/= and Ssentamu Ashiraf also secured 100,000/= having secured the third spot in the competition. 
Out of a total of twenty-four contestants, the event only included five, as nineteen of them did not show up, allegedly because they were nervous about the questions.

 Among the contenders were Mukasa Jonathan, Nakimuli Kezia, Kabunga Tonny Eddy, Namilimu Ruth, and Ssentamu Ashiraf, who had previously battled in Engule ya Radio Simba in 2023, reaching the final stage. 

The quiz session focused on current affairs, with each participant facing five questions—four general and one exclusively about Ugandan sports. The initial phase required contestants to answer questions about their home district, Mukono, before delving into national current affairs. 
Distinguished guests included Hon. Robert Kabanda Peter, Mayor of Mukono Central Division, Deputy RDC Mukono District Mike Ssegawa, and Mukono Municipality RDC Ms. Titto Kagaga, who served as the guest of honor.


 Ms. Kagaga commended the organizers for their patriotism and encouraged them to expand the competition nationally.
She also expressed her gratitude to them for originating this quiz competition from the ground up, given that it originated in their own home district. 

 Mr. Mike Ssegawa expressed his support for future editions and pledged support for the first runner. 


"I want to thank you for this idea and I urge you to continue with the second edition within three to four months, and I will support you with a pledge for the 1st runner," he declared.
