Kafuma Joseph: A Resilient NRM Champion from Mubende Fights a Devastating Illness and Pleads for Assistance

Kafuma Joseph, a prominent member of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) and the Chairman of the Boda Boda Association in Mubende district cries out for help as he battles Devastating Illness

With strong ties to influential MPs like the former Minister for Kampala, Nnalongo Benna Namugwanya Bugembe, who also served as the Woman MP for Mubende, and Mubende Municipality's Hon. Bashil Lubega Ssempa, Kafuma was an indomitable force in local politics.
However, as time went on, Kafuma's influence and standing within the NRM party seemed to diminish, and his voice grew faint.

His cries for attention and assistance seemed to fall on deaf ears, with his concerns remaining largely unheard and unanswered. Then, on Monday, October 16th, a group of Good Samaritans led by Hon. Sumaya Nabawanuka, an aspiring Member of Parliament for Mubende in 2026 and the NUP coordinator in the region, decided to investigate the rumors circulating online about Kafuma's plight.

Accompanied by Kabali Harunah and Mubende FM station manager Kibalama Yusufu Kato, they journeyed to Kasanda to uncover the truth. Arriving at Kafuma's rural home in Lwanjiri, Kasanda district, they were met with a heartbreaking sight.
Despite his once-influential role in NRM and Mubende politics, Kafuma was now suffering from a severe illness.

His eyes were filled with tears as he expressed his deep disappointment in the NRM party and those he had worked with. "If I lose this battle," Kafuma said, "they shouldn't abandon any other individual if NRM still needs power.

Four months ago, an unidentified ailment, known by some as "Jujju," struck Mr. Kafuma, rendering him immobile due to a sudden enlargement of his leg, followed by severe wounds and swelling.

According to Hon. Sumaya Nabawanuka Kafuma is currently admitted at Mubende Regional Hospital for emergency treatment, although he needs more financial support which can be directed to his contact number 0759746992 or even a call or a visit will make him feel loved. Let's help a friend. God bless you all.
