NRM Youth Initiative Unveils YYM Rallying Behind Museveni for 2026 Elections

In a bold move signaling unwavering support for President Yoweri Museveni ahead of the 2026 elections, the National Resistance Movement (NRM) has launched a new youth initiative known as YYM (Yellow Youth Movement).
This initiative, unveiled recently, is poised to play a pivotal role in galvanizing youthful support for the long-standing leader.
The project, known as the 'Yellow Youth Movement (YYM),' was inaugurated on Saturday, February 24, by Jacob Eyeru, the chairperson of the NRM National Youth Council. He emphasized its purpose: to rejuvenate the involvement and influence of youth within the NRM party in preparation for the upcoming elections.

Addressing a gathering of hundreds of youths at the NRM Secretariat in Kampala, Eyeru outlined the focus of youth mobilization, emphasizing four key areas: advocating for quality and mandatory free education for all Ugandan children, guaranteeing healthcare accessibility for all citizens, and promoting widespread vocational training among youths.
“We believe these issues, with the four sectors of wealth creation and job creation that our chairman emphasises, are the root of a sustainable development for the youth of Uganda,” Eyeru said.
“As YYM initiative, we shall mobilize all the youth from all the corners of Uganda, for people to join the NRM party for steady progress,” he added.
The NRM Youth leader clarified that the YYM would undertake additional activities under the guidance of the secretariat. He cautioned the youth against engaging in any endeavors not endorsed by the NRM party unless expressly
