The Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) has made headlines by securing financial backing from the government. This groundbreaking development was confirmed by none other than President Eddy Kenzo himself, marking a pivotal moment for the federation and the entire music community.
During an exclusive interview on a local TV station, President Kenzo disclosed that the government had earmarked funds to bolster the federation's Savings and Credit Cooperative Organization (SACCO), a vital financial lifeline for musicians.

However, he refrained from disclosing the precise amount, citing confidentiality, but expressed gratitude for the grant, noting that it amounted to half of their initial request.
