Ibrahim Musana alias Pressure 24/7a Ugandan TikTok influencer accused of insulting President Museveni and the Kabaka finally sees a glimmer of hope as bail is granted after enduring months behind bars.
On Monday, Buganda Road Court Chief Magistrate Ronald Kayizzi granted Pressure 24/7, a Shs2million cash bail while each of his two sureties was bonded at Shs20million non cash.

Kayizzi argued that Musana had surpassed the constitutional 60-day remand period without trial, despite state attorney Ivan Kyazze asserting that investigations into the case remained unfinished.
According to court proceedings, Musana, through his legal representatives, filed for compulsory bail release, invoking Article 23 (6b) of the Constitution and referencing a Constitutional Court directive, prior to presenting two sureties in support of his application.

“I am of the view that when an accused person has clocked the mandatory period on remand, court can only set bail conditions.  It (court) cannot adjourn the case for any other purpose because an accused person can be released on his own cognizance,” Kayizzi observed.

Pressure 24/7, however, is not allowed to use the names of the Kabaka, the President of Uganda, Speaker of the Parliament Anita Among, or Minister Joyce Sebugwawo on his social media accounts until the matter is over.
