Amid swirling rumors of his demise, Shaka Ssali, the former host of VOA TV's Straight Talk Africa, has stepped forward to dispel speculation and confirm that he is indeed alive and well.
In a lighthearted denial of the claims, Ssali quotes Mark Twain to say, "Reports regarding my demise have been hugely exaggerated." In his rebuttal, Ssali highlights the tenacity of the human spirit by addressing the untrue allegations as well as reflecting on the outpouring of support from his audience, family, and friends.
"Reports regarding my demise have been hugely exaggerated.....The messages that came from the audience, relatives and friends, among others clearly demonstrates that I have not occupied space in life but I have lived. Let's keep human hope alive." He said.
