Balaam Takes On Role of State Minister for Youth Affairs in Cabinet Reshuffle
Meanwhile, Hon. Florence Nambozo Wamala assumes the position previously held by Agnes Nandutu as the State Minister for Karamoja.
In a recent Cabinet reshuffle, Mr. Balaam Barugahara, a prominent event promoter has been appointed as the State Minister for Youth Affairs on Thursday evening by President Yoweri Museveni.

Balaam, who sworn as a member of the NRM ruling government and also a leader in First Son Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) replaces Hon Sarah Mateke Nyirabashitsi who has since been transferred to the docket of Defence Ministry, as state minister in charge of Veteran Affairs.
In additional noteworthy updates, Youthful MP Phiona Nyamutooro has taken on the role of State Minister in the recently reshuffled cabinet. This appointment sees her succeeding Peter Lokeris, who has now transitioned to the position of Cabinet Minister overseeing Karamoja Affairs.
Meanwhile, Hon. Florence Nambozo Wamala assumes the position previously held by Agnes Nandutu as the State Minister for Karamoja.
President Museveni has also appointed Mr. Kenneth Omona, previously serving as PPS, as the Minister of State in charge of Northern Uganda, replacing Grace Freedom Kwiyucwiny, who has been appointed as a Presidential Advisor.
These changes will come into immediate effect following the completion of the parliament's thorough vetting process.
