How Car Washers Allegedly Swindled Sh118 Million from Busiro East MP's Vehicle

In a surprising turn of events, police have apprehended three individuals working at a car wash, who stand accused of pilfering a staggering sum of Sh118 million from the vehicle of Busiro East MP, Medard Lubega Sseggona
Sseggona, who serves as the chairperson of the committee on commissions, statutory authorities, and state enterprises (COSASE), reportedly entrusted his vehicle for cleaning at a washing bay located near the Catholic cathedral in Rubaga.

Sseggona reported a crime, leading to the arrest of Jordan Axtime, Emmanuel Migadde, and John Vianney Kibaale, who were found guilty and their pockets mysteriously empty

Detectives from Nateete Police Station reportedly searched the suspects’ residences in Wankolokolo- Kinaawa along Nakawuka road in Kyengera town council, Wakiso district, and recovered some of the money.

“We recovered sh35m, and the suspects claim they took sh118m,” Onyango said.

The area chairperson, Edward Lutaaya, was present as police searched the suspects’ houses before detectives recovered some of the money from a ceiling in one of the rented rooms. Lutaaya appealed to youth to work hard instead of engaging in theft.

Drama ensued as the suspects pointed fingers at each other, each claiming the lion's share of the stolen money. Reports emerged that some of the cash had been transported to Mpigi, prompting detectives to swiftly pursue leads in the area.
