Buddu Claims Third Masaza Cup Title with 1-0 Win over Kyaggwe

Buddu defeated Kyaggwe by a slim margin of 1-0 at Mandela National Stadium, winning their third Masaza Cup championship. 

Buddu's strong defense and tactical skill ultimately made the difference in the suspenseful encounter, which left viewers on the edge of their seats

Mike Walaga of Buddu scored the game-winning goal in front of a boisterous crowd, guaranteeing that the 2024 tournament would go down as yet another historic triumph for the squad.

The Buddu supporters erupted in cheers when Walaga struck the net in the 34th minute, marking the breakthrough.The only goal of the game came from Walaga's effort, giving Buddu a 1-0 lead at the break.

Buweekula County also defeated Kyadondo County 3-1 earlier in the day to secure the third-place finish.

Nyanzi put on an outstanding display, scoring a hat-trick in the first 70 minutes and giving Buweekula the lead. Datham Mubiru gave Kyadondo a consolation goal, but it wasn't enough to change the game's direction.
 
Along with Katikiro Charles Peter Mayiga, His Majesty Ssaabasajja Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II graced the match by attending the finals having missed last year’s final.
