The reshuffle comes barely six months after Mumbere was freed to return to his Kingdom, after the 2016 military raid on his royal palace

In the new changes, Mr. Benson Kule Baritazale is now Deputy Prime Minister, as he comes in to replace Mr. Edwin Bayiringa Kugonza who has held the position for six months, indicating a shift in leadership within the government.

The Institution’s Deputy Attorney General, Mr. David Bwamable, has also been retired and replaced by Herbert Bagheni. Additionally, the Omusinga dropped John Thawite and Joel Kaguta, replacing them with Geoffrey Kanyonyi and Babra Ndahura as the Kingdom's information and public relations officers, signaling a significant restructuring within the institution's administration.

During his speech, the Omusinga praised President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for his efforts in creating a calm atmosphere in the Rwenzori sub-region and for bringing peace and stability back to the area.
