Miss Tourism 2024/2025 Journey Begins with 'Tourism and Peace' Theme Launch.

In a splendid ceremony held at the prestigious Sheraton Hotel in Kampala on Wednesday, March 11, the search for Miss Tourism 2024/2025 commenced under the inspiring theme of "Tourism and Peace." The event marked not just the beginning of a beauty pageant, but a celebration of cultural diversity, global harmony, and the transformative power of tourism.

The launch of Miss Tourism 2024/2025 under the theme "Tourism and Peace" at Sheraton Hotel, Kampala, was a truly prestigious affair, attended by an array of esteemed guests. Among them was the State Minister for Tourism, Hon. Martin Mugarra Bahinduka, who graced the event as the guest of honor, highlighting the government's commitment to promoting tourism as a means of fostering peace and development.
Adding to the event's significance was the presence of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Miss Tourism, Aisha Nagudi, whose dedication to empowering young women through tourism initiatives has been commendable.

 Additionally, Sarah Kagingo, the Vice Chairlady of the Board of Directors at Private Sector Foundation Uganda, brought her invaluable insights into the intersection of tourism and economic growth.
Miss Tourism will traverse 12 regions of Uganda over the next five months selecting outstanding young women to be ambassadors of their region at a national level.


Aisha Nagudi, CEO of Miss Tourism, explained that the selection of the 2024 theme, 'Tourism and Peace,' was deliberate, aiming to underscore the crucial link between peace and tourism, encompassing aspects such as conflict, pollution, and natural disasters. She emphasized that maintaining peace and harmony is pivotal for the seamless operation of tourism.


The Miss Tourism Uganda 2024 boot camp is set to commence on August 26, 2024, at the UWEC center, featuring 36 contestants. Over the course of the boot camp, participants will undergo rigorous training in tourism, marketing, personal branding, health and beauty, catwalk and posture, communication, entrepreneurship, and leadership skills. After a week of intensive sessions, 16 contestants will be eliminated, leaving 20 finalists to compete for the title of Miss Tourism Uganda 2024.
